i'm more sympathetic to this argument, but i still feel like you're giving too much credit to humans, and a lot of the post-mortems are going to be constructed explanations for functionally random decisions

but the SSA codebase is almost certainly broken in a million different small ways, but it's still a good system because the quality of any individual piece of code matters less than that that code exists
in that vein i believe that AI-generated code can be a net good even if it's not optimal

but "making bad decisions quickly" is more important (and leads to better results) in a lot of scenarios than "making good decisions slowly"
AI isn't good for every situation but there's a lot of work out there where the "quality" is 10% as important as the fact that the work exists at all
