I always found it funny that Velma & Fred got removed from the series in the 80's to focus on Daphne or hot girl stand in, so this is a image I found & edited ages ago of Velma's unkempt depraved life of kidnapping these replacement gals & making them part of her crazed underground harem

While searching for clues, Daphne touches a empty painting, only for her soul to get sucked into it & become its contents while her body morphs into an inanimate object. Now Reality shifts to Velma being Fred's girlfriend until she touches the other painting & gets herself removed from reality too
While doing their typical mystery-solving thing, Velma and Daphne enter a room with Fred, Shaggy, and Scooby and come across a blank pair of paintings that read "Touch Here." Daphne doesn't have the nickname Dangerprone for nothing and touches the painting, only for reality all around them to wobble and ripple as her soul is pulled into the painting and frozen in place while her body shifts and transforms until it becomes an oddly shaped wooden coatrack. When all of reality stops wobbling, Velma runs up to her boyfriend Fred and holds him tightly, asking him if he felt something weird just now. Velma points over at the painting of a distorted woman on the wall with another painting next to it being plain white with the words "Touch Here" written on it. Fred complements her sleuthing skills and kisses his girlfriend as Velma giggles and breaks out her magnifying glass to get a good look at it, only to accidentally lean too close and touch it with the back of her hand. Like before, all of reality wobbles and ripples as Velma's soul is pulled into a painting, too, while her physical form transmogrifies into a large vase with a plastic flower sticking out of it. Now, both girls are trapped in the paintings, and as reality settles back to normal, Fred, Shaggy, and Scooby all look on in a daze. Shaggy asks Fred why they even came alone to this creepy place at all? Fred can't remember why either and suggests they leave and head to the late-night malt shop to try and finally get themselves girlfriends. The trio leaves completely unaware there were originally 5 of them, but in this new reality, Velma and Daphne never existed, and the only ones aware they ever did are the pair still trapped inside the paintings, forced to helplessly watch as their old bodies gather dust in their new forms for however long it takes to free them.....if that's even possible.
