the Fantastic Four cast get asked about their own personal fantastic four, which leads to some canned niceties from pascal, kirby and quinn, and an insanely he knows ball answer from ebon.

Pin this, save it, we’ll need it.

“When a prison camp opens in your town…when a DREAMer is disappeared from your classroom…when the President destroys what’s left of the Constitution…They will all say they didn’t know this was coming. And I want the American people to know that they did.”

God I love when a sentence or paragraph is so well-written that I put the book down for a second and say “Goddamn.” That happened several times in “Martyr!”, and the last 50 pages of this knocked me on my ass. This is a hell of a debut novel and deserving of the hype.

Sad to say I find myself just hate-watching Yellowjackets at this point. Insane how far it’s fallen from such an incredible first season.

Haven’t posted on here in awhile because I’ve been distracted by this menace. Introducing Paz.

This was a real fucking labor of love but I’m pretty thrilled with how it came out. Cut down a bunch of planks, sanded and painted, drove myself mad mounting the rails just right on these old, uneven walls, and spent an obscene amount of time agonizing over shelf, book, and decor placement. Voila.

Imagine Joel and Ellie from The Last of Us traversing through plague-ridden 14th century France as a literal war between Heaven and Hell is spilling over onto earth. Engrossing story with characters you cannot help but become invested in, told in beautiful prose by Christopher Buehlman. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Me: “I don’t know if you can trigger a complete existential meltdown from a 100 page novella.”

Neither words nor pants can contain my excitement for this one. Save my beloved werewolf genre, I beg you.

Nosferatu is fantastic. A gorgeous film. Eggers’s ability to insert you into a specific time and place in history in such an authentic-feeling way is unmatched.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet already has me ready to burst. Naughty Dog doing scifi AND it’s scored by Trent and Atticus? Take my money. Give me the biggest, dumbest preorder.

Big improvement with episode three of Creature Commandos. Absolutely love GI Robot, and the last thing I would’ve expected in this show was a Dresden Dolls song.

In case you thought Bluesky was a safe haven from the idiocy of Twitter and Threads, sober yourself by reading the replies to this gem of a post. Social media gonna social media, y’all.
More men need to tell us they've never been a fan of The Beatles. It shows an independence of thought but also profound intellectual insight; a refusal to run with the herd. I especially like to see it in response to someone expressing their love of the group. It's outspoken, contrary and brave.

Wicked was so fucking well done it temporarily disabled my Ariana Grande aversion. Absolutely loved it.
