A pox on app developers that reset the current state to default when you switch away for a moment to look something up... perhaps information you needed when filling out a form, for example.

One year since I posted this. Even more true today.

These days, I just wish I could #sleep.

One thing I wish #Apple would do in #macOS is respect accessibility settings. So many apps ( #Maps, and #Photos, for example) continue with tiny text, even when the settings in #Accessibility in System Settings is set for larger text. Lots of apps don't respect these settings, which is too bad.

#ADHD is needing to put an old pair of computer glasses in one's laptop bag so that when one goes to lunch and forgets their newer pair of computer glasses at their desk, one can still read all the things. #Over45 #CantSee

If #Facebook could stop traumatizing me with dog death announcements from people I don't know, that would be great. I know... cycle of life and all that, but it's hard enough having the memories of all *my* experiences. Perhaps also stop with the birthday announcements of friends who have died, too.

Still true, every year. #hibernation

Has anyone heard of something similar to a #Google #Image #Search for #macOS #Apple #Photos? I want to feed the search an image and have it find it in my Photos Library or say that it isn't found so I can add it.

I guess this is a reoccurring problem for me on this day.

#ADHD is when you incrementally move your earbuds closer to your computer bag, meaning to put them in, but never actually putting them into your computer bag. It becomes so frustrating that you plan to add backup earbuds into your computer bag, which means that there will now be two sets of earbuds.

I’m not a fan of tech companies loading up an app’s title bar with doodads. Am I the only one that needs a place for the mouse to grab onto to move it around?

A new reason I dislike the Face-place: the algorithm shows me a number of posts like "My <insert dog's name> died today." We had a Bernese Mountain Dog for 11.5 years. He passed away in 2020. All these posts are other Berners! These posts usually have pictures of (I hope) sleeping dogs. I mean...🤷‍♂️

On this day in 2020: #Hurricane Teddy, Cat. 2, threatens the Canadian Maritimes. I wondered, "Does anyone know the last time a tropical storm made it to Greenland?"

As a Geographaphile, the fact that #Apple Maps - the #Maps app and others like #Photos - don't cache even basic base maps, requiring a connection is rather frustrating. When I get "connection issue" and a blank (useless) background, it makes these apps useless until back with high-speed connection.

I thoroughly enjoyed Pridefest yesterday. Many corporations have switched their giving away from such events. I have cancelled my Netflix subscription and have donated the year’s expense to Pridefest. I encourage you to reallocate spend to what matters most.

Companies that make exercise machines for gyms that don’t have places for phones should be fined exorbitant sums of money.

#ADHD usually makes me feel "not good enough," but this was an achievement that I'm still proud of.

There are so many things that I dislike about Facebook. My saved items are lost with perpetual "This page isn't available right now" error messages. Also the endless refreshing of the feed, so that when one clicks on a link, reads an article, then wants to go back to comment, the post disappears!

This year I've been using a Lumen device (www.lumen.me). I like using it and the data it generates in my health journey. I do wish it would integrate more with Apple Health. I use a different app for diet tracking and don't want to have to enter everything twice. Still happy with it, though.
Lumen | Boost Your Metabolism | Lumen
Lumen is the world’s first portable device to measure track and analyze your metabolism. See if your body is using fats or carbs for fuel in a single breath.

#ADHD is thinking, "I could post this on Bsky" and then getting distracted and never doing it. Repeat this an infinite number of times.

Sorry, but I'd have to pick a multiple of 3 pies. Tier 1: X, D, C. Tier 2: B, E, S. Tier 3: P, G, A.

Reading through articles on #ADHD and consistency / habit forming. All the talk of having a "disorder" and "strategies to overcome" leave me feeling like an alien on another world. That implies that there is a home-world out there. One that I wouldn't have to adapt to.
