I'm not saying anything here. Keeping mum. In Las Vegas.
Now THERE is some truth.
"What the U.S. is doing now is not reform. It is rejecting the very system it created." - Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong

Do NOT blink, China. I'm nothing but patriotic for America, but we need to feel the pain of Trump's stupidity so his smooth-brain supporters will turn against him. Logic won't do it. Simple pain will.
China unlikely to blink first as Trump’s trade war enters uncharted new territory
Since Trump’s first trade war with China in 2018, Beijing has ramped up trade with other countries, making it less dependent on the US

Hey, other countries, please play hardball with our broken toilet "leader." Be aware that any small victory he can claim will only make him worse. See his bet and raise him. Let his monumental stupidity stand so all can see the effects. That's how we'll break him. Give him rope to hang himself.

Tariffs on their own do not create more American jobs or lead to more US production. In fact, Trump's last trade war cost roughly 300,000 jobs. All these tariffs will do is give corporations cover to jack up prices and pad their profits at our expense.

I've set myself the task of posting every morning, whether I get any feedback or not, whether I'm the only human being who even looks at these sad little words or not. So far it's working.

Today's watchword is: buckle up some more, we haven't even felt the pain yet.

Goodbye, cheap stuff. Hello, beans and rice.

We just said "Fuck everybody!" and detached from the world, like some butt-hurt pubescent boy, storming off to his stinky bedroom to masturbate with furious abandon. J.D. Vance comes to mind here.

Trump is giving a masterclass to the world on how to do without us. And they can and they will.

I’m experiencing way too much terrible history being made lately. If they still have high schools in the future, let me tell you, hey kids, it wasn’t fun living through this shit so you can study it. And yes, we really were this crazy.

He believes absolutely that tariffs are The Answer, as if they were passed down by God himself. It's his one big idea and now that he's escaped all accountability for everything and he's descending into dementia like his father, there is no talking him out of it. Or anything.
It feels like Trump has been willing to inflict pain and anger so many people because he truly believes that his tariffs will usher in some golden age that will make everyone forgive him, so when that turns out *not* to be the case, it's going to get very weird, very fast, as he tries to adjust.

I don’t remember any smooth-brains saying, Yeah, Trump will cause the price of cars to shoot up, yay! I’m willing to take that hit for nebulous future American jobs that I’m too addicted to meth and opioids and booze to hold down anyway! And fuck this medicaid shit my bastard kids are on too!

There are homeless in many places throughout the city besides the famous drainage tunnels. My theory is that maybe the ones who stay there do it mostly because kind people go there every weekend and give them stuff. Plus, yeah, the tunnels are famous, which rubs off if you sleep there, maybe.

Tomorrow is “Tesla Takedown.” Google it and find your local event and show up with your sign and your patriotism. Make no mistake: we are literally experiencing a fascist takeover. It’s a thing we can do against it. If we don’t exercise these rights, they will soon be gone.

Police officer is the 18th most dangerous job. Logging worker is #1. The guys who fix your roof are 4th. Next time I see a roofer I’m going to tell him, “Thank you for your service!” Even though he probably won’t understand me. Before he gets deported. I mean, we gotta have roofs, right?

I went down to the demonstration. I got lots of compliments on my sign. Police bull-horned us to stay on the sidewalk. A guy yelled “Get a job!” at which I laughed because I’m on social security (being old) plus I actually do have a job. I should have yelled “Get a brain with wrinkles!”

Here's the sign I'm taking to the demonstration this afternoon, so.

I’m having these arguments in my head w/r/t an upcoming zoom meeting. My logic is so irrefutable it is literally wrecking the brains of my interlocutors. Just stanch their drool and wheel them away, please. Next!

I would totally go for full-on socialism or some kind of anarcho-whatever, if not for the cannibalism prerequisite.

AOC: Fox News and the right-wing would have you believe that these American values are something out of The Communist Manifesto. But let me tell you Fox News, I don’t believe in healthcare, labor, and human rights because I’m a Marxist.. I believe it because I was a waitress.

Yes I'm going to wear cargo shorts because I actually have cargo, even to the Bernie Sanders rally. Do not judge.
