Very poor take. Leaving aside that there is no evidence for an electoral backlash, no one should be above the law and upholding the law should not be dependent upon electoral consequences.

Hoeveel tijd, energie en middelen hebben we verspild aan die draak van een wetgeving rond renovatieverplichting van E en F labels die één grote slag in het water blijkt te zijn?
Nationale bank, KU Leuven en UAntwerpen evalueerden de renovatieplicht.
Conclusie ? Mensen lapten de slechtste woningen ook zonder plicht al op tot een EPC-label D of C, dus de impact op de prijzen en het resultaat is haast onbestaande.
