People get weird about the effectiveness of terminology but the idea behind “homeless” vs. “an unhoused person” is solid and I wish more people understood it. It’s a person who currently does not have a home. It’s not an enduring and invariable characteristic it’s no current home.
The thing these people always crying about the homeless are mad about is a result of no homes. But they think not having a home for some time is an immutable characteristic of the person and not simply lack of a home. Giving them a home will solve your big problem: Noticing them.
