In 100% fairness (while I don't think it was rigged), I did find it odd that 5/8 finalist started in an outer bracket. I guess the bracketter had a well-founded gut feeling, like seeding in tennis?

Have in the past wondered about using a 'useage die' as a sort of countdown clock to a boss encounter, especially as part of random encounter tables, because at some point the boss is gonna come out swinging.
