Very happy (and somewhat shocked) to have been awarded an #ERC #CoG grant to study how cervical #mucus prevents intrauterine infection and #preterm birth... looking forward to meeting a new mucosal community!

Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy used to *see* glycans on the mucin Muc1 at the single molecule level. Quite simple structures in this system but very cool nonetheless 😎
