And now, to distract you from the state of the world, here's a comic preview page of Lex Luthor fighting a bear for no reason.

Parisot (the Director) tells a story about how Tim Allen just started crying after a scene one day

"I don't like these feelings i'm having." Says Tim. "I'm going back to my trailor" and walks off.

There's silence for a second.

"Oh my god." Says Rickman. "I think Tim just experienced acting."
Galaxy Quest - a perfect movie, just a wonderful love letter to actors, sci-fi, Star Trek in particular, and to fandom - really deserves a proper physical release with decent extras. Think Weaver's right that releasing a R-rated cut would be fun, too.

I'm a Gen-X guy and I think the best thing we could do is shut up about it (irony!). No one cares if you drank from the garden hose. What are you doing that's good now? Support movements to a better world that we weren't able to make on our own.

Imagine being the person with the patent for packaging with resealable zip lock pouches and laughing all the way to the bank for something that so rarely works correctly (mostly the seal above the zip to be able to open it).

They did. We have to take responsibility for the decisions (ill-considered or carefully chewed and digested) we as a nation make. American exceptionalism is a core weakness. Our inability to reconcile our own awful (collective) behavior prevents us from really grappling with it and improving.
No one voted to kick 17 MILLION people off their health care.

No one voted to RAISE the cost of groceries.

No one voted to give handouts to BILLIONAIRES.

Donald Trump and Republicans just sold out working people.

This is a gut punch — but we will NOT stop fighting back.

So sorry to hear that Peter David has passed away. I didn't know Peter well, but we traveled the same creative roads together for many years and I admired his talent and passion for storytelling. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
