Writer/Editor/Communications. Mississippi River trash. Raised on microplastics. Probably cozy in seat C10 at my local cinema right now.
I should clarify that The Blasters was somewhat less than official. Dave and Phil Alvin reunited for a short time in 2015, and I caught them when they swung through Iowa City, where they unleashed a killer set of Blasters radness.

Truly and completely in awe of this perfectly ordered list.

BLACK ANGEL, because if the first bender places you in a heap of shit, only a second bender can make you remember it, and only a THIRD bender can resolve it all.

That bit on “Weekend Update” with Dismukes was really funny in the exact way you describe. So good.

You nailed it. I struggle with this, too, and I’m seeking ideas from those smarter than I am—maybe schooled in the history of similar historical situations here and elsewhere—about ways to shift my energy to artful subversion.

Just said the same! Sliding into dude’s ankles there would’ve been allowed, though. Let the man jump into the path of a cannon throw!

Oh, man! I always felt like the only one who watched and/or loved this show, and I haven’t thought about it in yearrrrs. Beautiful.

This won’t be good for his status in the Joe Girardi Circle of Trust.

Absolutely Dorothy. She’s amazing, I’d have a killer mother-in-law, and the occasional pop-ins from Stan would be endlessly entertaining.

I was at a protest in Iowa City yesterday that featured a local leader saying the same. As someone who has to constantly fight against my own doomerism, they were right, you are right, and it’s good to see and hear it repeated.

As a reader, it shows. I truly value the work.

I adores film but have no academic background in it, so that nurturing is exactly what I look for in the film writers I follow. They (you!) articulate what I *feel* about movies. Further, when I trust a writer, y’all also help guide me toward and away from movies (time is tight!). Very well said.

I got to see him in May. He steamrolled (compliment) through about 25 songs with barely a breath between. One of the loudest shows I’ve seen in a spell. Perfection.
