If Trumpsky gets pushed out, don't celebrate too soon. This push toward fascism isn't coming from Trump... it's coming from the Republican Party.

Lukewarm take: of all the crimes Trump has committed, I have a hunch that Epstein's death is not one of them. There are probably a whole lot of men more ruthless than him who got access to Epstein's stable of children, many of whom were probably blackmailed afterwards.

The pendulum doesn't really swing between conservative policies and liberal ones. It swings between the persuasiveness of well-funded right wing propaganda and the humiliating failures that result from right wing governance. Conservatives gain power, and then blow it every time.

Since 2016 I've wondered if the GOP can find a way out of the Trump trap, and avoid sharing his fate. So far, it looks like the only one who's trying to offer them an alternate path is Marjorie Taylor Greene.
