Anyway, book now available on Amazon! Link in my bio.
Well, here's to hoping I can stick to a better social media schedule.

Has anyone ever mentioned that formatting and self publishing is confusing and hard? Cause it is.

New cover for book, check it out.

Oh wow, I have a lot of new followers since I was added to an author starter pack.

It's another little nod to reflect that, yeah, I did write something and I am a writer.

Imposter syndrome can fuck right off into the sun!

Welcome all! I love horror, anime, and all things Cthulhu.

Reposting to save for myself. Going to do a lot of submitting to these places for sure.
Hey #flashfiction #flashlit writers, what are some good FLASH venues that publish genre works (sci fi, horror, romance, fantasy, etc.)?

Been thinking a lot about being an author recently.

And I'm not gonna lie, the depression, ADHD, and imposter syndrome take a toll.

But I have a book. I've published online.

I am an author, and it does feel good.

Self-doubt sucks, but it's only there because you care.

I understand why a lot of #Lovecraft / #Cthulhu Mythos fiction is set in and around the turn of the century.

Can anyone recommend a fantasy cosmic horror? I think that'd be cool AF to read.

Fuck AI bullshit. None of my writing uses it.

Unless you count spellcheck? I can't spell definately to save my life.

This was the image I used for my book cover. Found it on a website that had free-for-commercial-use pictures. Some editing and playing around with settings in Canva, I had a cover.

Being an #indieauthour is hard sometimes.

You know, I like writing. It's fun. It's engaging. It's soothing.

Setting up a website? Not so much.

Especially when you're indie and trying to do everything at free or cheaper.

Anyway, here's the website. Still a work in progress, so nothing really there yet.

Bout sent a book to print with the wrong ISBN listed. I'm so good at this.

I often find myself cursing how hard writing and editing is.

And then I remember that my day job is in games.

Where I'm trying to figure out the exact language to use so the monkey's paw of rules design doesn't come back to bite us.

Never thought I'd need to break out the HTML skills when self publishing (trying to go as easy as possible), but D2D just wouldn't accept my epub.

So had to go into the code to get it fixed.

Me: Fear is the one constant. It is with us when we are born and when we die. No matter what we do or how hard we run and hide, fear always find us.

#WritersCoffeeClub 3/17: Does alcohol intake influence your writing?

I one saw a meme that said, "So, at what stage of alcoholism do I become a writer?"

I'm influenced 0 by alcohol. I do like to have a drink occasionally (I make a mean Rob Roy), but it's like every other week, if that.
#WritersCoffeeClub Does alcohol intake influence your writing?

I don’t drink.

That said, this feels like a great time to reiterate that if you offer someone a drink and they say they don’t drink your job is now to offer nonalcoholic options, not to query why or apply pressure. *rainbow-star-TMYK*

#WritersCoffeeClub 3/16: What word or phrase do you tend to overuse?

I have some weird obsession with the word "that" in my writing, it is e v e r y w h e r e.

Starting dialogue with, "So" is another one, but that's just how I talk, so deal with it, lol.
#WritersCoffeeClub 16 March: What word or phrase do you tend to overuse?

In general, I absolutely use 'grinned' too much, especially in early drafts. But in my last book, I was obsessed with the word 'deign' for some reason.

#WritersCoffeeClub 3/15:
Are we aware of any fanfiction about our work?

No, but I hope to god one day there is fanfic of my work. I'm such a huge supporter of fanfic and it would be an absolute honor to have some written from one of my worlds.

I'd be on cloud 9.

#WritersCoffeeClub 3/14: What are new themes you are currently exploring?

One thing I think cosmic horror does well is cause us to confront our own identity and how we fit in life. It's something I'm trying out in a couple of stories I'm sketching rn.

When you don't matter, who are you really?
