80 year ago today my father, then Corporal Donald Falconer in The KRRR was serving near Forli in northwest Italy not far from Ravenna. It was his 24th birthday and he was on duty, but between 01.00 & 02.00 that morning a shell, probably from a German 88 gun, exploded near him. Don Falconer at 22 1/3
