René Jacobs' recording of "Entführung" is a bit controversial, but I like it. It's nearly complete and includes bits from other works by Mozart to underscore the spoken parts.

The dying Quasimodo's (Lon Chaney) look when he realizes that Esmeralda has forgotten him. This is not in Hugo's novel.

There are still posters in my area predicting the rapture in 1992. They used very good glue; I suppose they saw no reason to hold back on expense.

Today I visited Whittier's Amesbury home, his grave, and his birthplace. The gravestone is very simple, perhaps reflecting his Quaker views.

What the heck ... It's a long way to drive again to Candia, and I touched the door handle. So I'll declare my Rockingham County Library Tour complete!

Today I planned to complete my tour of Rockingham County libraries, but Candia was closed. The Nottingham Library is quite nice, with a garden in back.
