When Fabio Sargentini left his Via Beccaria gallery in 1976 he flooded the former garage with water. A simple thought that I find endlessly compelling. The metaphor of a space painstakingly filled, and then emptied in an instant. As Sargentini said, "the gallery reflects on itself."
