My new year's resolution to listen to more diverse music has, once again, failed. It's not even close.

The carrot cake muffins I made for morning tea at work went down a treat today. Everyone said they were great, but personally I think the cream cheese frosting carried the sponge 😋 #baking

I loved listening to The Very Secret Society Of Irregular Witches ❤️ such a heartwarming and low stakes book with engaging and lovable characters (especially the kids!). I did have a niggling idea of the final plot twist but that just made it better! #booksky #books #reading #audiobooks

Loved making this octopus so much I made it 3 times! The tentacles are super fun to see curl as you go back over the chain. All octopi have gone to their new owners & hopefully will be well loved 🐙 ❤️ Pattern: www.crochet365knittoo.com/crochet-octo... #crochet #yarncraft #craft #octopus #baby #gift

My biggest cross stitch project is finished! Took me 10 months to complete and I've spent the last 2 days turning it into a tapestry ready for hanging. So happy with how it's turned out 🥳

I finally got my own boxset of The Hobbit & LOTR so I'm reading the series all the way through for the 1st time and gosh do the illustrated editions make it An Experience

Halfway through The Hobbit atm, and possibly my favourite plate so far ⬇️

I've spent the past two afternoons assisting with a lab class for undergrads on seawater measurements, which involved looking at the salt crystals left behind from evaporation.

It's always awe inspiring to see the ordinary up close 🧪

Seeing the big pirate ships up close was pretty cool, but slightly disappointed the decks were closed to the public

A highlight of the wooden boat festival's parade of sails last week was definitely the little row boat #awbf2025

Airport reading 🛫

Won this one in a @thestorygraph.com giveaway, which is always a mixed bag, but the first few chapters are promising

Celebrating 10 yrs of RV Investigator! 🛳️🧪🥳

After over 100 voyages, Investigator has contributed to oceanography & atmospheric science around Australia, the Southern Ocean, & Antarctica. I've been lucky to participate in & assist with some of these

Now listening to... 📚💙

Lots of secondhand embarrassment from how ignorant the main character is, but I do love to hate an absolutely detestable narrator. And she knows you hate her.
