Despite all the doom and gloom pumped out by the RW media, the UK is actually doing well in some measures. FTSE 100 has outperformed the S&P 500 for the first time in many years.

Im afraid it is correct. Do the maths yourself if you like. If it didnt work this way then how would reducing higher rate taxpayers pension relief actually save any money? The net result of doing that is less money goes into that persons pension.

I decided to work it out in a spreadsheet. 1k extra of income that takes you £1 over the threshold leaves you with over £1k less in tax relief.

Yep and guess who consistently votes not to tax wealth?.....

The fix is scrapping the triple lock and in return lowering the age. At present, people are getting lower pay as a direct result of having to pay for the triple lock, to fund a pensioner cohort who are richer than most working ppl.

Heres a more recent one. The trend actually accelerates vs 2015
November 8, 2025 at 2:04 PM
'The triple lock just stops pensioners falling further behind, not getting rich.' Not true. At every income bracket, pensioners are now better off than working age people.

Perhaps they shouldnt be associating with nazi thugs then. It is very much about the current situation.
November 8, 2025 at 11:46 AM
Yep as many jews express on a regular basis. Israel lost credibility when it elected a Far Right govt that associates with nazi thugs.
November 8, 2025 at 11:45 AM
The pensioners vote for the Billionaire backed parties time and time again so I have zero sympathy.
November 1, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Most of the rich are older people, and funnily enough they dont vote for taxes on the rich (themselves).

This Reeves/BTL thing has a distinct whiff of Raynergate about it. Why have these people not learnt, fess up early and in full or it just gets worse and worse. If there is evidence she knew that she needed to obtain a license and she claimed she didnt know, she is toast.

Lol pull out the smallest violin. She just sold a London mansion for over £3m.

True. Govt needs to block any further mergers.

This is a good record of what abstaining on 'meaningless votes' gets you. All it does is legitimise the opponents agenda.

My late mothers PAYE coding notice from 1973. We need to get some perspective when it comes to tax rates
October 30, 2025 at 8:49 AM
And here is something I found in my late mothers documents. Puts current taxes into perspective

Commons Votes website/app. Only 63 Labour MPs voted to defeat it. Thank god there is a big bloc of LDs
October 29, 2025 at 5:49 PM
For context Labour abstained on Farage's bill. Just like on Brexit Labours cowardice is utterly disgraceful. We have been here before with @teamlabouruk.bsky.social

Heres your answer.....
October 24, 2025 at 9:47 AM
Labour has been very good at embracing Tory agendas, whether Brexit or otherwise. Corbyn was basically in coalition with the Tories for several years.
October 19, 2025 at 6:41 PM
You couldnt fucking make it up if you tried. What a hypocrite.

Lol 'AI is taking over the world' part 2064. I decided to google Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Google AI seems to think that his dance partner in Strictly is his partner in other senses. AI is so over hyped and over estimated its unbelievable.

This is a great example of what has gone so wrong with corporate capitalism. Your earnings go up and your first instinct is to fire people.
