Is fearr i bhfad ól roimh an bhfolcadh, má tá tú chun aon uisce folcadáin a ól!

My hearty congratilations — a braw attainment! May the leid blossom an flourish.

(ChatGPT translation)

In time I hope to post the comments myself, without that silicon crutch, in the sweet, soft tongue of Ullans.

Má tá tú ag teacht ó thuaidh, cuir teachtaireacht chugam agus rachaimid amach le cupán tae. Tá mé féin anseo le scór bliain anois.

Tagann líofacht le labhairt – ná cuir ualach ró-throm ort féin, is fada agus is fáilteach an turas.

Go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as an gcúrsa agus as an léann.

Beir bua!

Just picked up this book after opening it on this page …
Context is similar and alien - a reverence for truth within the context of a 19th century Church of England sensibility

Close to 200 years ago,tap image to see fully !

plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose?

I fully agree with you on the learning experience and its use by some/many teachers to exclude and to lord it over others .

I am inclined to see it as not just that. A better way forward that includes makes us all, in my opinion , richer.

Be well!

More light and less heat - Andy. It was not an attack and an apology was given.

This is a real issue , and one that needs to be addressed as and when it arises , however , in the case of the Áras, I do not see it in the way.
November 6, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Not the intention, apologies if you felt it was meant as such. However ,as you have demonstrated - it is very easy to translate back and forth and with very little effort.

I suspect we might agree on many matters , including the wrongheadedness of compulsion … just not seeing that in this case.

An mbeidh an 60% sin i láthair nuair a bheidh cúrsaí á bplé?

Cad faoi thart ar 60% de na daoine nach dtuigeann eacnamaíocht idirnáisiúnta agus iad á bplé?

Ní thuigim go hiomlán cad atá tú ag iarraidh a rá. Tá sé cinnte, áfach, go mbeidh Béarla ar fáil do gach rud a bheidh á phlé san Áras.

Thar barr. Is iontach agus difriúil iad An bheirt, óna chéile agus lena chéile.

Ar an sean-nós:caoineadh domhain, ó chroílár nochtaithe, briste —
buairt á scaoileadh, ní lena chlos ach lena bheith.

Leagan nua-aimseartha:caoineadh mar scairt — le clos, le haithint, le feiceáil.

Bheadh sé iontach a leithéid a bheith ar an idirlíon dúinne scaipthe agus thar lear.
