I was very disappointed in that book too (and I like character focused books). There was such an undercurrent of impending violence in the beginning which then dwindled into basically nothing. The ending was very lame

I looooved How High We Go in the Dark. One of my top reads last year

I'm the total opposite. I like a 250 to 350 page book. I think that length suits the kind of stories I read most, though. Any longer and it would make most of them worse

I borrowed them on Libby. I'm hoping a nice matching set of all 5 gets released at like Christmas or something 😅
