Being raped doesn’t make you a feminist. Trauma doesn’t create good people. Sometimes it can create a “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” mentality. No one wants to be a victim of rape, and a lot of people will go out of their way not to feel like one.

Protesters have remained behind the blue line on the ICE facility’s driveway, but the DHS has made announcements four times in a row now telling people that if they step onto the driveway they’ll be subject to arrest. It’s not really clear if anything is prompting these repeated announcements.
