If you go to my bookmarks on AO3, the fandoms are all over the place. Some of my favourite fics are from movies, shows, groups I've never even interacted with and the experience is almost better because I don't have to reconcile conflicting character interpretations between me and the author.
Highly recommend branching out with who and what you read, especially if you find yourself saying “I wish there was more of X fic” bc there is, it’s out there and a lot of it but you’ll only find it if you try new authors, new ships, different tropes, etc.

If you dislike something or it makes you uncomfortable, that’s okay! But you don’t need to let the creator know. You don’t need to let anyone know, honestly. You can just ignore it and move on with your life. Fandom is about enjoying the things you like, not bashing the things you hate.

Okay Christmas wasn't so bad. It's my first one without weed and it turns out not being self-conscious and defensive the whole time makes being around my family a lot easier. I'm full to burst with sticky toffee pudding and I got a heap of gift cards. Sleep time now.

My Christmas confession is I have a unreasonable grudge against ship names that are just a seemingly random word with the letter "z" at the end. I don't want to have to go through pages of lore to understand why they're called that 😤 just smash their names together
