Progressive dem, fan of comics, Trek and science fiction, history buff, Deadhead, rock, blues, bluegrass. Give me a shout out if any of that sounds good. Also brand new cat dad, and now, even newer dog dad.
Oh yeah, we're all pissed. I think calling out dem leadership and primarying their lackeys is the way to go. This could pull the party back to the left, in the long run. It's a lot easier to take over a party from within than to start a 3rd party.

There were more, obviously. This was a strategic vote that delivered the exact number of votes needed. There were more dems standing in the wings if they were needed. These 8 were chosen, 2 already not running again, king ready to retire, the rest in swing states.

Two are retiring. King likely will, too. Fetterman is already guaranteed to be primaried. The others are in purple states.

That seems like shooting ourselves in both feet. We know Schumer and the 8. Follow the lead of Indivisible and primary those who won't call out Schumer and Durbin's lack of leadership. Otherwise we are helping the GOP, not resisting them.

It’s time for @democrats.senate.gov to remove @schumer.senate.gov as Senate Minority Leader. Either Schumer’s caucus went rogue or he helped coordinate this shameful move. Either way, it’s he has to go.
Time for @schumer.senate.gov to go. Use this letter campaign to demand Senate Dems who opposed this terrible bill REMOVE Schumer as Senate Minority Leader. OR lose our donations and support.

Maybe the fact that even Hochul is pissed off over how easy the 8 rolled over should tell you just how egregious an offense this was

Bad in different ways, but yeah, both parties are corrupt and don't give a fuck about their constituents

This feels like sabotage within the democratic party, an attempt to negate their wins of just a week earlier. The eight had nothing to gain from this, except maybe a fattening of their wallets
