If they're eligible for benefits then they have contributed to our society, and as such are eligible for benefits. This utter shitgibbon of a man is trying to stoke the BREXIT crowd again.

The only one taking a free ride from the tax payer is MR FARAGE who doesn't show up to work.

You can’t win a defamation case when the edit truthfully shows what Trump said and what his supporters did. Truth and public interest are full defences under UK law, and the sequence of real events speaks for itself.

Completely with you, UK electorate still accepting parties conceived before flushing toilets and colour TV, and letting them coast on economic legacy from before global trade and the internet? Both are stuck in a 20th-century mentality, but society has left them behind.
November 10, 2025 at 10:58 AM
Yep - honestly at this point Zarah and Jeremy would have been better off just being independants with a fundraising umbrella similar in style to Act Blue in the US, which simply supports progressive candidates
November 9, 2025 at 10:38 PM
It shouldn't - the rebound was of progressive left of center candidates.

The House/Senate dem leadership should take away from this that their party has left them behind and they need to get onboard or get out the way and let new younger voices in.

Haha so Zohran was right - he was watching!

The US meddling in Central and South American politics. Well isn't this just SOP of the last 60 years.
October 29, 2025 at 11:00 PM
Because polls are just polls and the tories still hold 121 seats in the commons, representing 8.4mil UK residents.

Can we all please be serious. Polling is a tiny sample ( in this case ONLY the under 50s). Until the next election, no matter how bad at it, they are the Tories are the opposition.

And to be clear, I believe Gaza is a genocide and the UK’s arms sales are abhorrent. But I also recognise that NATO is currently a necessary coalition, and that Ukraine was invaded and is defending itself. Your party’s leadership seems intent on isolating leftists who still hold a grip on reality.
October 29, 2025 at 11:36 AM
I’ve rarely been so quickly disappointed in a political party. Instead of uniting to defeat Reform & tories. Instead of building on shared goals, your party chose to go full attact mode on the greens to fracture the left. Just bullshit purity tests rather than building a coherent platform.
October 29, 2025 at 11:36 AM
After watching the Reality show that was Luigi, how is it that we've heard NOTHING about this guy till now.
October 28, 2025 at 12:00 AM
My old Roomba, from before they got “smart”, is still going strong after ten years. They had a great product, then ruined it with pointless tech and apps. I know it’s ironic, since it’s a robot vacuum, but you know what I mean.

Anyone with common sense knows that disruption of the 'war zone ' narrative from the administration is as important as resting ICE itself.

Hard to claim violent actors if they're all wearing inflatable outfits.

Bonus they nullify the impact pepper ball guns.

To Be clear - if the congress retroactively appropriates the funds to fill the gap after they return, it doesn't make the SECDEF following this order any less illegal.

DEM need to get their shit together and win the midterms.
October 11, 2025 at 9:00 PM
That's not how US congressional appropriations work - you can't just re-allocate funds willy-nilly. What would help is if the government wasn't shut down.

WHY aren't the media stating clearly that the president is ordering shit that isn't fucking allowed.
October 11, 2025 at 7:35 PM
He was never eligible this year. IF gaza peace holds he'll get it next year.

BIG if.
October 10, 2025 at 7:36 PM
Most likely, wouldn't surprise me.

I should have been clear though I meant the NHS UK wide can fix this issue as the article says the backlog is UK wide.

Trans healthcare should be treated like all gender affirming care simple. I hate this is a 'wedge issue' imported from the yanks.
October 5, 2025 at 12:53 AM
100% but I think Russia pushed disinfo, and US libertarian networks like the Mercers and Cambridge Analytica ran data ops.

Big US banks backed Remain, but so timidly and quietly it left the active foreign push for Leave from Russia/US right to shape the result.
October 4, 2025 at 1:02 PM
And being clear Sam 100% deserves jail time - he was doing illegal shit.

but everything about this screams 'we want to show we can control this' market.

They let investment banks fuck over people for FAR more money and don't lift a finger.
October 4, 2025 at 12:52 PM
Feels like Scotland could fix the gender care crisis fast: treat trans healthcare like all gender-related care.

GPs already prescribe HRT, contraception, and ED meds safely. With clear national standards and informed consent, they can do the same here.

The barrier is bureaucracy, not medicine.
October 4, 2025 at 12:48 PM
FTX was absolutely doing illegal shit, no doubt. But let’s not kid ourselves, the US saw a chance to seize assets and tighten grip on crypto. No bankers jailed for 2008, yet SBF gets the hammer. This was less about justice, more about consolidating control.
October 4, 2025 at 12:35 PM
Trump is a fantasist who mistakes attention for respect. He did not stop any wars. He did not sign a single trade deal. World leaders humour him to avoid confrontation, then work around him as they would a disruptive child. His bluster is not strategy, and his ego is not leadership.
October 2, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Um frankly this is inline with every other modern nation - cheques are archaic and it's kinda embarrassing how behind the US banking and government is on this.
October 2, 2025 at 1:13 PM
Trump’s own speech has made his intent clear. By framing a “war from within”, naming only D cities, he signalling that any order would be to suppress rivals and intimidate voters.

Any general should be safe to refuse such an order, and Congress would need to grow a spine and back them if they did.
October 1, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Remaining watchpoints: legal bypass, election interference, defiance of courts, crisis exploitation. With purges, politicised deployments and press control already real, the “land of the free” is in full slide toward authoritarian rule.
