Okay so in the early days of @team18f.bsky.social , one of our colleagues added a "guys bot" to Slack. Whenever someone said "guys," it would respond with a friendly gender neutral alternative:
- did you mean, folks?
- did you mean, friends?
- did you mean, colleagues?
Etc
- did you mean, folks?
- did you mean, friends?
- did you mean, colleagues?
Etc
Watching people call 18F "the good guys" and I am not responding "did you mean, FOLKS?" because most people will not get the joke

Hi Mark! Frmr engineer and program strategist from US Digital Service (which is now DOGE). Would love to chat w you about putting some serious capital into direct social services (food stamps, social security, etc) that the public can rely on as fed. services are under siege. Open forum on it maybe?
