Yep, its not good.

If I (or someone) would post a photo of my car with the plate shown, anyone who sees that could within 2 minutes have my full name, address, ID-number, who I'm married to, etc.

So for me, as I try to stay somewhat anonymous on the internet, that would be a disaster.

You can also do a search the other way around; If you have a name (and address) or a person, you can see exactly what vehicles they own.

Very strange system. Great for looking up company cars etc, but privately owned vehicles should not be this easy to look up.

Ah so no issue for you guys at all then pretty much. Here its very sensitive, especially for motorcycles which are easily stolen.

hmm i always blank out the plates in all posts and sale ads.

im not sure how it works for you guys but here in sweden, owner name and address is public information, so its just one sms message to the transport agency ("MOT" I guess) away.

So for anonymity/privacy and anti-theft, it is a good thing

Many people swap the V70R front bumper onto those and it makes them look SO good.

Wouldn't say they were ever common, but nowadays they are definitely rare. Only 95x 3rd generation Prelude's left in Sweden now.

Quick tips for the pronounciation of our crazy letters:

å/Å = Long: the 'o' in 'ore'. Short: the 'o' in 'on'.

ä/Ä = Long version: ???. Short version: the 'ea' in 'health'.

ö/Ö = Long: 'ea' in 'earn'. Short: ???

Also, our J is pronounced more like your Y.
