Figured I should update you guys on why the Prelude isn't being used.
When I went to have the car inspected a year or so after purchase, it turned out the previous owner had covered up major rust damage with duct tape, filler, random goop and paint.
(also need brake work)
I just pulled most of it:

With the Outlander "done", the next #Mitsubishi is now in the shed. This, my Random Lancer(tm), is about to get a new timing belt kit installed.
After this is done, all our winter beaters are prepared and ready for duty.

~40 days since I bought the car. Sold to me as a donor/parts car.
~€1100 and 60-80 hours of work later: Somewhat rare #Mitsubishi Outlander Turbo passed reinspection and is now fully street legal again.
Runs good but still needs work here and there, ofc.

Limited by the weak stock pistons and a too small turbine housing, peak torque is now estimated to ~450nm @ 3500rpm, and peak power to ~300hp @ 5500rpm (crank numbers). Should be able to squeeze 320hp or so with a better tune.

Front end repairs on the black Outlander Turbo are now done, and work on the rear has begun.
Exhaust and much of the rear suspension is off. Hopefully I'll have the diff and subframe out tomorrow 🙂 #Mitsubishi
