I did see #FantasticFour and it was brilliant. They finally got it right. And seeing Galactus in all his gargantuan glory was awesome. Definitely a movie to see on the big screen if you ever get the chance. Anywho back to building my game.

Animation test for one of the characters in the game @hawkstonegame.com. Walking sequence accounts for walking up, down, left, right, and diagonally up and down. More animation sequences to go, obviously. Jumping, swords, magic etc...

I needed to include some pixel concept art for my game where there's lakes & bridges, other types of plant life, stairs etc. Also wanted to get a feel for what it might look like where scenes pan for a player.

Building a video game means concept art I make also has to include nature, not just houses and man-made (or elf, orc-made?) structures. So things like trees, rocks, tall grass, and brush. Hell, we even have wolves.

I realised pretty quickly while creating pixel assets for my game I’m making that I can only go so far with a mouse. So I got a drawing tablet. Nothing fancy. Just a no name brand and it works perfectly for what I need. The difference is huge.

Never fully got Reddit before, but that's probably because I never found a topic I could really get into. But with having massive amounts of fun building games, NOW I get the Reddit thing. The game and game dev community there is huge, supportive and welcoming.

There is a huge plethora of amazing indie games out there, shared on Reddit, that look and ought to be award-winning games in their own right. So, so, so many people are making some truly amazing work in their games. This is amazing. A lot of talent out there.
