Be great if you control one of my birds!! We have ringed nearly 200 so far this autumn with our best total being 650 birds. Been a fantastic summer and autumn for us. Good numbers of warblers but also birds we don’t normally catch ie spot fly, redstart etc. we ended up with 27 nightjar pulli.

They respond well to tape. Had to close the nets the other morning at one of my sites with a pond. 110 birds in 3x 6metre nets!!

Fantastic birds. Got huge numbers in Notts at the moment. Judging from Portland’s numbers they are moving further south than normal.

Right leg will likely have a metal ring on Debbie. There is a possibility of a colour ring as well but it won’t be on the same part of the leg as the metal one.

That’s a cracking set of photos Debbie. I’m watching my fennel patch in North Notts with interest. Sadly most of the willow warblers have left us.
