Known as GAFAS, we are an independent art organisation which turned 50 in 2022. We have about 400 members and gather on the Wednesday nearest the 15th of the month ‘twixt September and June (excluding January) to listen to distinguished speakers.

LAST MONTH on 15th October 2025 we enjoyed Craig Bryce’s detailed presentation with valuable insights on our new venue, the Trades Hall of Glasgow. Afterwards, Craig took the time to answer questions from the audience and also posed with some of the members of our Committee.

GAFAS OUTING TO BALCARRES HOUSE-What an amazing trip! After lunch at the Old Manor Hotel in Lundin Links, we headed to Balcarres House and its beautiful gardens. GAFAS OUTING TO BALCARRES HOUSE-What an amazing trip! After lunch at the Old Manor Hotel in Lundin Links, we headed to Balcarres House and its beautiful gardens. A tour of the house with The Earl & Countess of Crawford was followed by tea & cake and we were blessed with beautiful weather throughout.
OUR LAST TALK on Betty Joel was a huge success. Clive Stewart-Lockhart delivered an entertaining, well illustrated, informative and well attended talk. David, our Outings Organiser was also very busy finalising arrangements for the following week's outing to Balcarres House...More of which shortly👆
