False, rude, and self-harming all in one: he's a window into the anguished souls of his ardent supporters, our fellow Americans, our neighbors, fellow church goers, co-workers, etc.. I'm glad my dad, a decorated WW2 combat vet, isn't alive to witness all this. Deplorable.

10 straight months of contraction in USA manufacturing employment. Clowns.

You're pretty darned good at this stuff, Nicholas. Will the U of I let you take a sabbatical for 7 years to help right the ship? The idea of a centrist, sane, policy think-tank that pays dividends for thoughtful input has a lot of merit. Structure it like a co-op. Count me in.

Six years ago I wrote in the Washington Post that police must not hide their face or name. Seems kind of pertinent now, right? Here’s a link to a free version of the piece I wrote. I was angry and sad then. I’m angry and sad now. Courage. Use it. Now.

Commentary: I’m a police officer; you should know my name | HeraldNet.com
The ability to identify an officer — local or federal — is a requirement for accountability and trust.

Low/stable oil has been the glue holding macro together. Oil priced in yen is really surging, I wonder if it will compel BOJ to deliver more hikes? Yen weakness may be becoming a destabilizing force; starting to have a Soros vs BOE duel vibe.

The Bloomberg Editors' staid pandering to their Trump supporting subscribers over recent years has been painful to watch. So undignified.

Curious, how do you draw a line between unconstitutional and illegal wrt these recent events?

And 75 million Americans opted to obstruct justice. Which is sad as hell.

And they defund the IRS to make tax fraud easier for their avaricious constituents.

That's a great pic. Must've been a thrilling sight.

Will tickets to see a show at the Ted Nugent + Kid Rock Kennedy Center residency for the next 3 years be free, or will attendees be paid?

This type of thing pre-dates the recent slide at CBS by many, many years. Go back and watch her past interviews with Sen. Ron Johnson (R, WI), she gave him a megaphone to pontificate his election denying nonesense without any pushback whatsoever. Sad as hell.

They missed 1929, when real GDP surged 20%. SPX rallied 50% during the 12 months before the September 1929 crash, which ushered in the Great Depression. It was epic mal-investment in banking, property, and rail back then. And wealth inequality on a similar scale to now. Roaring 20's.

The Star Wars bar scene characters are far too proud to be seen with such individuals.

An idea to make it even better: coordinate with southern Wisconsin to facilitate tie-in to Madison area, which has a booming economy, but no rail connection to Chicagoland.

Maybe aggrieved X-accounts are visiting these social platforms (IG, BlueSky, Threads, etc) but minding their manners, unlike over on the portal formerly known as Twitter? I mean, they probably secretly enjoy watching PBS, Netflix, YouTube music content, etc., hating has to get old after a while.

"Obamacare was done with just democrat votes". If I'm not mistaken, John McCain was a republican.
December 11, 2025 at 6:29 PM
This makes a lot of sense. I can envision using such novel thinking to unleash demand for treasuries, should the need for such demand ever arise. Eg 40% of homes have no mortgages, could structure a way for these homeowners to hypothecate equity to buy gov't debt.

A third of the electorate considers themselves forsaken. They're filled with rage, capable of God only knows what attrocities toward "others" "them". It is our solemn duty to vote to mercifully stop the madness before it's too late, not repeat the mistake the German electorate made in 1928.

Garden variety head x shoulders pattern setting into motion as well. Momentum quants are driving the bus, for now.

My lord, what has happened to our nation. SAD!
December 7, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Much of the American electorate is completely devoid of empathy. 250,000 Iraqis died violently circa 2003-2011 when the country was "liberated." 2 million people were displaced from their homes, a million orphaned kids. America just shrugged then, too. Sad as hell.
