That's a lot less likely to happen than felons being elected as they are now. To get a conviction one needs probable cause, indictment, warrants, arrest, trial and a jury to vote for conviction. That's a lot of hoops to jump through to 'engineer' a conviction.

The funny part is states that do this are finding that instead of turning blue areas red, the formerly red districts turn purple and Democrats are winning elections, like in TX.
