Husband is an accountant, wife was a teacher in a smaller city in Iran, not Tehran, where the cultural reforms of the past few years are felt more. She's sharp and eloquent, would make a great deponent (I always look for this even when it's not relevant to the case).

They'd planned to use the K-1 visa a la 90 Day Fiance. These don't work for countries under the admin's Travel Ban - she's not allowed to come to the US to marry him within that 90 day period, so they got screwed. Big time.
