I'm working the front desk at work today.... why did I watch this? I KNEW I'd cry.

I was just coming here to say the same thing. Green on the island and can't see any snow anywhere.

Annoyingly, O'Connor is the opposite! Bike lanes get done before sidewalks in many cases.
I wish they'd just pick one and make it consistent across the city.
(I have zero problem with people using the bike lanes when sidewalk isn't plowed. Said as a cyclist and pedestrian. Everyone just be kind.)

Best. Boy.
Barda gave me a look yesterday at lunch ("This again?"), and damn near refused to go out at dinner.

Walking was hit and miss. Some sidewalks were plowed, some weren't. Lots of windrows at intersections.
(My commute is mostly O'Connor.)

I have decent tires on my winter bike, but I haven't done the initial brakes, air, chain, shifting check since she sat dormant all summer.
So I also will be walking.

Especially since so many of the MUPs are lower than the roads in a lot of places so it's just headlights the power of a lighthouse straight to the eyeballs.

I think I biked over some salt on the Champlain bridge today... Not emotionally prepared for it, and yet, bring on the ski season!
(I am NOT prepared for the snow-rain-freeze-thaw combo though. I never am.)

Sunk cost fallacy! If you have two, you need to replace every other mug you have with them. Even if the other ones are 1) fine or 2) just need to be washed.

People should intend to pay attention to speed limits and their surroundings when operating a motor vehicle that could, with a slight misstep or lack of attention, injury or kill someone.

"Accidentally" speeding means that folks aren't paying attention and they should be penalized for it. No matter what.

Josh doesn't like barley and he is WRONG.
I will do up a batch of barley and add it to fricken everything.

It's also good if you chop the apple in half, scoop out the core, add the stuff, and bake. More surface area for the sugar to caramelize. Bonus: You don't need an apple corer.
