Really don’t get these Donnarumma links. Not a particularly confident goalkeeper with his feet, so the build up will have to look different. Plus Trafford has just come in with the prospect of being No.1 after a year. Looks a lot different now.

We would like to express our deepest condolences, and send our love and prayers to the family, friends, and all those at Liverpool Football Club following the tragic passing of forward Diogo Jota in a car accident. 💔

Surely this is a wake up call for a rule change RE late offside calls. How many players have to get injured with last ditch tackles in phases of play which are blatantly offside. Now Awoniyi with an extremely serious sounding injury which, at best, could be a long spell out (at worst a career ender)

The Ref went down due to a collision. Don’t worry Jamie Vardy blew the whistle to stop play for him.

It’s actually ridiculous that the U21s squad looks more exciting and ‘in-form’ than the senior squad in some areas.

Archie Gray, Wharton, Nwaneri, & Delap to name a few.

Haven’t seen the highlights. Did Lewis Skelly do the Haaland celebration when he got sent off?

You need you’re big players to step up in difficult periods. Earlier in the season I don’t think that was the case but today was different. Haaland, Foden, Ederson, Gundo all has big games

James Watt Brewdog's CEO is worth £262,000,000 he is refusing to raise the wage of his staff in London by the £1 an hour to keep them at the National Living Wage.

Brewdog is apparently a 'nice' company, but wage freezes don't seem very nice.

Do they?

9.5 year contract for Haaland. We mean business.

Marmoush is a pretty insane signing, especially in January. One of the in form forwards in Europe and only behind Salah in goals + assists in 24/25 so far. Hopefully his form continues for us!

Very classy tribute from Brentford to remember Tony Book 👏🏻

It’s just embarrassing, lacklustre defending at best. We simply cannot have people stumbling through our defence. The challenges are woeful

Surely Bernardo and Gundogen need to go off. Literally just passengers at this point

You can tell the defensive frailties are permeating though the team now. Incredibly safe passing, clearly afraid of losing it and giving up the almost inevitable high value chance on transition.

I know that 'correlation does not imply causation', and 'above replacement' models are very limited in soccer. Still, Man City averages 2.2 more points per match when Kyle Walker doesn't start

Lots of positives though. For the amount of stick they’ve got over the past few weeks I thought Bernardo/Gundo had really good games. Jack in the middle was fun.

That’s really frustrating for Ake. Just shows we can’t rely on him or Stones long term.
December 4, 2024 at 9:25 PM
From all the worrying performances, I’m the most concerned in the long term about Kev. He looked frail out there. Clearly not fully fit but I think we’ll be lucky to see him back to his best in a city shirt.

A depressingly similar team selection. Not too much to get excited about there…

What must the likes of O’Reilly and Wright be feeling at the moment? You wait for times like these to get an opportunity as a youth player and the midfield is crying out for energy/legs. It’s pretty unsurprising that others (Lavia, Palmer, etc.) haven’t stuck around indefinitely for a chance.

Really looking forward to seeing Rico in midfield. If walker had been fit I think we would have already seen him there. It’s clear it’s his best position. He’s adds energy which we desperately need.

2 years. More than we could have wished for

Clearly massive news RE pep extension. However, a bit confused about the ‘option of a further 12 months’ clause. Surely from the clubs pov Pep always has the option of a further year? Slightly concerned we could be in a similar situation this time next year…
