Wherever the Republican National Convention meets, it is well documented that sex workers who offer dominatrix and kink services flock and flourish.

Interestingly enough, if you think of tolerance as part of the social contract instead of an moral ideal, the paradox falls apart. Those who step out of the social contract (that is, into intolerance) have voluntarily left any protection (tolerance) from the social contract.

One of the healthiest ways to convert a sod lawn to a prairie ecology is occultation.
1. Scalp the lawn with mower.
2. Water hard to encourage germination of seeds present.
3. Cover with waterproof dark plastic.
4. Let grass die over the winter.
5. Seed with native prairie plants in spring.

So what do you, as the Secretary of the Treasury, do while "listening" to speeches at the U.N. General Assembly.
You read texts from Agriculture Secretary Rollins describing how the U.S. screwed itself over by bailing out Argentina and angle your phone so as to enable a photographer from AP.

My feelings exactly.
I suspect he didn't live long enough to appreciate the irony of being murdered because of the easy ways to acquire firearms via the Second Amendment he so passionately defended.

I took the new Euphree ebike for its first spin today. Ran a few miles, including a run of a branch of the Gateway Trail in eastern Minnesota. Bike still needs a little seat adjustment, but it was a fine ride. #ebikes #euphree

You all remember Calvin and Hobbes, and Bill Watterson the cartoonist?
He stopped C&H in 1995, but his work did appear occasionally afterward. Here is one written by Watterson and illustrated by Gavin Aling, from 2013. It's cut up into pieces, so as to legible.

Yes, we are flying the Ukranian flag upside down.
That is what is done when a country is in distress, and I do not know many countries in greater distress than Ukraine.

American Players Theatre was a hoot this year. Saw two Shakespeares this year -- Midsummer Night's Dream (with two actors playing Puck!) and A Winter's Tale.
Both top-notch performances in a beautiful outdoor theatre in the woods of Wisconsin!
