Finally got a Konflict 47 rulebook and was immediately let down by the quality. The paper feels like cheap flat news print. I keep checking to see if the ink was coming off on my fingers. I was really expecting this to be the same quality as the rest of their books. Especially for $64.

Goddamn. Someone on Twitter mentioned the Chainmail miniatures game and that fired some LONG dormant neurons. These were some of my very first miniatures and the gateway drug into Warhammer Fantasy.

I love that the shading makes this look like an in-game StarCraft render. I keep expecting it to move.
The Mech was airbrushed, house insignia was painted freehand.

The hot weather is finally over, which means my migraines should hopefully be letting up. Time to finally pick up a paint brush for the first time in like 5 months and get some lances finished.

First game of #Battletech Alpha Strike in like 6 months. Absolute slugfest. Ended with my Thunder Fox and his Battlemaster as the last two. He killed my Thunder Fox and I left him with one point of internals. Fantastic game.

When I get old enough to pass as a good Santa, I’m going to dress up as him for Halloween. I’m not going to hand out candy, I’ll just walk through the neighborhood with a massive scroll and quill going “Mmmm-HMM” at random kids. Hopefully buy a few parents some peace for another 2 months.

I bet the new Spyrers would look really cool painted like Spindle Drones. They’ve got that same kind of organic look. I don’t know that I’ve got that kind of glazing patience anymore though.
