There is no reason why the Australian Government couldn’t announce sanctions today.
The UK Labor Government has paused free trade agreements with Israel, over their policies in Gaza and the West Bank.
Other countries have stepped up their action in this moment.

I’m often critical of our government, but they seem to have taken on the basic management of the country competently. They had a lot of ground to make up, and have done it quietly and sensibly.
