Ok. this is done for now.

I know there is more I can work on it. But I rather learn from this and move onto the next one.

Definitely got a better feel for the brushes on this painting.

Also started working on a new digital painting. Went for a simpler portrait image, as I wanted to test a different combination of Photoshop brushes. These am liking.

I feel I’ll be experimenting with a million brushes till I find the look that suits me.

Currently reading.

This is the first Cornwell book I have read and so far enjoying it.

I'm really digging the new Everon album 'Shells"

Check it out if you like some old school heavy rock/prog rock.

With my recent book haul, my list of wonderful vintage paperbacks sitting on the shelf unread is growing.

So I will attempt to rectify this, by trying to read a book a day.

Most of these paperbacks are short 200 page books, but I’m a slow reader. So it will still be a challenge

Cats are called Flint and Silver. after the two best buds from Black Sails. Flint is of course the ginger.

First 3 episodes of season 2 watched. Will attempt to watch act 2(ep4,5,6) tonight in one go.

The only hesitation I have. The show will continue to blow me away, while knowing these are the final 6 episodes. No more after these.

Admittedly, I jumped on this series purely for the Ken Kelly artwork on the covers. And I’m sure many others did as well.

Still trying to get into the series. But I do like that they are all short books.

This story is all kinds of wonderfully bizarre it’s a joy to read.

Really, give me imagination over solid plots or well defined character arcs.

I want to be entertained.

1968. The year I was born.

In 1968 we where entertained with Barbarella.
Gifted with Jimi Hendrix’s All Along The Watchtower.
Mesmerised by Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

It was a good year.

Mostly fun but also very much inspo. Will revisit some classics and try out some new ones. Hopefully can find most of these on Tubi.

Anyone else have suggestions for 70’s-80’s sci-fi movies in the weird, surreal and bizarre side. Less horror and more action adventure fun.

Hopefully Bluesky can actually be a good alternative, over all the other musk and zuck platforms that have destroyed the very meaning of social media.

November can’t come soon enough. Season 1 was a masterpiece. Episode 3 left me reeling like no other show or movie had.

Just started playing Hellblade first time around. Finding it stunning visually, engaging story wise and refreshing with no HUD and simplistic fighting. I mean there is no health bar to go by when fighting. Just keep fighting till one of you is dead. Not bad for a game that is some 6 years old.
