A glass #hummingbird ornament. I found it the first xmas after my mom passed and was very surprised – we don't get hummingbird xmas items here. They were her favourite bird. She passed in 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. (more in 🧵)

In 2011 my world had exploded. I was broken. I went home to #Barbados to recoup. I sat alone on the sand in the rain. Suddenly the #sky opened up to reveal the #sunset over the Caribbean Sea. It felt like something I'd been searching for; it felt like hope.

The lineup to one of the best shows of my life. NIN and Bowie. No break in between. NIN played, Bowie joined the stage, performed songs with Trent, then Trent exited the stage.

He is indeed a proper house panther! He's the biggest of my three and appears to still be growing– but kept his tiny kitten mew!
He's completely overgrown his baby cat tree, but refuses to admit that he does not fit in the hammock anymore - and so he sits. 😂 More in alt text.
Tiny little Christopher shortly after he was rescued, abandoned at a farmers market, where he would not have survived the night. My sis initially took him in but was not in the position to keep him. So we got him to our vet- who confirmed that he was by no means a stray; no fleas, no ear mites, socialized with humans – he was just dumped by some cruel individual. We set him up in my daughter's room for the first few weeks as there are just too many hazards in a home for a kitten this small. He is seen here in the hammock of his grey baby cat tree. He's just a tiny little thing, taking up only a small portion of it, all eyes and black floof. Christopher back in August, two years after rescue. He is a very big boy now. All the bottle feedings and all the care paid off! I do not have the heart to get rid of his kitten cat tree, shown again in this photo. He has wedged himself into the hammock portion, which is definitely far too big for, as he does pretty much daily.

You are most welcome. I have had to say goodbye to many over the years and miss them all. Most recently, I lost my soul kitty and emotional support cat Shadow in March, just shy of his 17th birthday. I miss him terribly. I truly do empathize. Sending hugs if you want them. 🖤

A group photo taken after Soundcheck. You can play Where's Waldo but substitute Tool band members. Some pretty cool Tool swag. I particularly like the notebook. I have a thing for notebooks. Don't know if this will be of interest, but my friend owns a lighting company and does the high rigging for most of the big Toronto shows. He sent me this when he was setting up for Tool. I would be terrified. He said the lighting for tool took him almost 8 hours, which is extremely long, but having been to their shows, you'll understand why. The next day he had to pull this all down and then set up for KISS which was apparently equally elaborate – and then the show was canceled.
