This partly explains why Canada has failed to medal the last 2 years. They don’t have enough roster building and tend to go with the standard players. Connor Bédard and Mason McTavish are the reasons Canada won gold in 2023 and 2022.

Great stuff Stu. One thing Habs fans need to really understand - Jacob Fowler is not the answer to our goaltending issues this year (or next year). Let the guy develop properly in the AHL. NHL goalie graveyard is filled with goalies rushed too quickly. Fowler will be ready in 2027.

Looking back on it now, the headline itself and Red’s column, couldn’t have imagined how much the Patrick Roy trade set back the franchise. Thankfully we have smarter hockey people in the role of GM and President.

Referee is overly emotional and actually made things worse by not talking to the coach or the player. Hope we never see this pigeon in the playoffs

That’s a pretty good analysis Grant. Not many people predicted that. In fact some saw him maybe even starting the season in Laval. Demidov is the real deal and he could end being a top 5 player in the NHL!
