“Solar is now officially the cheapest power source in the world.” Europe proves what technologists have claimed for years: the sun isn’t optional. In agtech, that means our energy ceiling just got a lot higher.

Solar power named the world’s cheapest energy source
Solar energy is now so cheap it costs as little as €0.023 to produce one unit of power, a new study has found.

The press release aaai.org/aaai-launche... does not really say anything about it, but there will be a detailed analysis. Examples on publicly available papers (e.g., on arXiv) would probably be better as submitted papers should remain private? Not sure how open the system will become.

When you use coding agents for something that produces the bulk of the code of an application that will be used for years, also factor in the technical debt that you are happily accumulating. When you use LLMs an an aid, you could, on the contrary, improve your coding culture.

Seems like an excellent idea.

In Germany, plug-in panels are sold at supermarkets, "renters have a legal right to balcony solar," & the tech has been proven safe. Almost 10% of households have plug-in solar.

We need this in the US, too.

Column | Can’t put solar panels on your roof? Plug-in ‘balcony solar’ may be for you.
Balcony solar promises to cut energy costs and grid reliance for renters and apartment-dwellers. I did a trial run at my home.

Head of NASA Sean Duffy intends to destroy a satellite that collects key data on carbon dioxide and plant health, by causing it to burn up in the atmosphere. The U.S. Dept of Agriculture and private agriculture firms use the data to forecast crop yield, drought conditions and more.
Why a NASA satellite that scientists and farmers rely on may be destroyed on purpose
The Trump administration has asked NASA staffers to draw up plans to end at least two satellite missions that measure carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, according to current and former NASA employees.

Vector search is good, but it's not enough.
Metadata adds a layer of logic on top of your text chunks.
This lets you filter by date or source first, then retrieve all the related pieces at once.
