Adding a few words about myself is my New Year's Resolution. I've avoided it too long.
Oregon's test positivity is even higher once data get adjusted upward a week or two later. I didn't write it down but I think one of those 16+% ones started out ~10%.
Last year's summer surge stayed above 10% for 15 weeks. Didn't seem to get much comment from OHA at the time.

Good news. Kaiser NW has announced Covid vaccine appts start Sept 15. I imagine that means you can schedule now.
If you already have a flu shot scheduled, they'll offer a covid vaccine at that time, just like last year.

CDC Wastewater was delayed 1 week. Most Covid reports post Friday by 8 pm ET, though some post sooner.
Last Friday's report for week ending Aug 16 was delayed, but it's here today, along with week ending Aug 23.
Major recent changes to calcs and definitions.

Oregon Covid Positivity is not my idea of a great metric. It lags and gets updated weeks later.
But it shows '24-'25 summer surge (our biggest surge) is more like '22-'23 than '23-'24. Oct is bad place to split data, as summer surge ends pretty late. Our usual lull is April or early May.

And pertussis, over 35K cases in US last year. Here's Oregon's most recent monthly chart, a preliminary 1,253 cases in 2024. With 231 in Dec. and 208 in Jan so far, the outbreak isn't slowing down. In comparison, pulldown for measles is 31 cases over 13 mos.

Oregon doesn't appear to have relaxed its policy as much as Jackson says. They still suggest avoiding being around high risk people for 10 days.
And masking for 10 days when you are around other people.
