And I LOVE being a mom! I’d do this all over again to have my son. But it should not be this hard. The village is dead. The community I built over four years has been crickets, and I spend every day 24/7 solo parenting working off of fumes. It’s no wonder PPD/PPA is so prevalent.

This experience has mirrored my experience with grief so much. The lack of check ins from friends, having no energy to tell people how to show up, in general being left alone to do this on my own. I have a few people who get it and are my lifeline, but that is both unfair longterm and unsustainable.
