My theory is it's good because Oblivion was good, it's just prettier, but a lot of people probably haven't played it in over a decade and now have a convenient excuse to play it again. Which is fine

While true, listening to her when you aren't ready to hear what she has to say could have irreversible consequences. In the end it feels like a gamble, which makes this analogy simultaneously great and poignant.

I remember showing a Gen Z co-worker of mine this movie and she laughed at this part, while I understand where she was coming from I was still a bit angry at her considering how much it scared me back in the day. Also watching it on VHS back then meant you couldn't see the alien before the scare.
