Times like this make me wish I had an actual audience, because I would love to know who preferred the SNES soundtrack of BattleToads & Double Dragon versus the Genesis soundtrack. I prefer the SNES because it emulated real instruments better, which added to it, Genesis was better at EDM.

Maybe @designdelve.bsky.social is right, I do feel like Doom: The Dark Ages thinks I'm an idiot. Which I suppose I am okay with because it just means I can 100% each level on the first go-around XD

I think the only reason I haven't bought a pair of Pit Vipers (other than the price of course) is because I figured it's more of a younger kid thing, but the truth is I have always wanted a pair of Bret Harts and that is what those things essentially are so I'm probably going to have a pair soon.

I am happy that Oblivion got a remaster, but I can't help but think that even Bethesda realized that there were no new platforms to re-re-re-re-release Skyrim on so somebody just said "wasn't there another Skyrim? Like before Skyrim? Have we re-released that yet?". That dude probably got a promotion

I am happy that Oblivion got a remaster, but I can't help but think that even Bethesda realized that there were no new platforms to re-re-re-re-release Skyrim on so somebody just said "wasn't there another Skyrim? Not sure why Strategy/Grand Strategy/RTS are still one of my favourite genres when I am constantly proving to myself that I am not very good at them, as long as I am having fun I guess!

I'm all for amazing games being remade from the ground up with modern techniques in mind (RE2) but I feel the remake treatment would be better served on games that had amazing potential, but didn't sell/hit the mark for one reason or another.

@hcavillblue.bsky.social My buddies and I are having a Warhammer weekend next month (we're parents now, not as much time to play) at a joint in Ontario, Canada. If you want to temporarily switch from writing Warhammer to playing it then come on over! An occasional break from reality is cathartic.
