the root cause is custom z-near code I wrote to handle portal planes. when its disabled/not in use, the the occular occlusion issue is gone.

thought I'd show that I was struggling with occular occlusion last night with my portals...

it was an attempt at optimization

portals can take in any angle, and don't even need to be two way, they can be one way portals.

work wise, web developers

but I am (slowly) transitioning into a game developer, <currently>using Godot. here a tiny sample of some portal logic I was working on. (I had to recompile the Godot engine to allow a change on Z plane with Camera perspective.). but I got the magic working here!
