Our cat, Greb, is not taking the hint about laying the table.

I've tacked some seams together so I can take the coat out for a test. The electronics section and special pockets are delayed as I wait for more extremely specific cables.

I set myself the challenge of making a winter coat from scratch with no plan just vibes. It's vaguely Norse / Tron with a computer built in.

Anyway. This bit on the front is technically a cable tidy, but it has turned out so beautiful I keep going back to look at it.

Yes that white stuff glows.

Sleeves are on. It's starting to act more like a coat and less like a fabric octopus that no one else understands.

Making a winter coat from scratch is near constant delight interspersed with complex engineering problems.

Here is me when I was working at heat magazine and two ladies dressed up as Tron people came to the office to give me tickets to the premiere.
October 16, 2025 at 8:29 AM
I am a Tron guy. I loved the original film _because it was weird _. I went to the premiere in of Tron Legacy, which is deeply flawed story but looked and sounded amazing.

This is me with Tron people in 2010 afterparty in the Tate Modern.

I won't see Tron Ares because Jared Leto is in it.

I sliced my finger tip open with a knife. It's healing well, but also it looks like a happy face and I own pens so you can guess what happened.

CW:Being silly.

@wheatles.bsky.social remember when you would play a lot of BF3 and wreck people with C4?
October 12, 2025 at 10:50 AM
Today was going to be doing special pockets but instead everyone has to be VERY QUIET. Shhh
October 11, 2025 at 8:52 AM
Working on cabling today. It's more of a headache than I expected and I am thrilled. Cables have shape and weight and that will affect the garment. We are at the far edges of pointless human endeavour. I'm just making a winter coat.

I believe this is an advert FOR AI but also it is functionally not an advert for A.I.

To me it looks like they are lost (due to AI) and don't know how to fix the car, and the AI is telling them to put the horses inside the 'pipes' to increase the horse power of the engine so the car can move again

My winter coat mark 1 has reached the point of hardware testing and cable routing.

The keyboard and screen are temporary, I am going to replace those with a split keyboard in the cuffs and AR glasses in the hood.

The rest need custom pockets.

You know what, it's actually GOOD to finally see the police tackling cyber crime.

Went to a non-binary pal's birthday party yesterday. I met this dog, Bosco who has been mentioned in the New York Times twice for his stage work. I joked he should do Hamlet next, he's already done Coriolanus.

If you see this repost with a Dracula that's not Dracula.

What would you do if sometimes your flatmate bit you? Like you were just hanging out and they chomped your arm.

Afterwards he acted like it was no big deal.

This is the only milk in the house. I have to try it don't I? For science.

I was cleaning up a roast, and a bit of chocolate spread fell on a Yorkshire pudding. So I tried it, just to see...

Guess what I found! A viking boat!
August 26, 2025 at 3:13 PM
I have consulted the runes* The boat is very far away still.

*Ship tracking website, which is brilliant
August 26, 2025 at 9:22 AM
No sign of boat. Honestly typical Vikings never showing up when you want.

In the meantime I just explained the Underground to some Canadian tourists and they gave me a flag badge.

I am in position, waiting for the longship. Morale is high. Loads of tourists milling about, with no clue about what is about to happen....

In more positive news I just had the perfect 'walk to the bakery and pick up a warm baguette' experience in France and I need to update my what is good in life answer
