How do I know?
All life emits a vibration. Some would call it music others a physical sense of motion against the mind or skin. Most humans are just…noise: a few are music.

Good morning.
Today's word is another from the index of my 60yo Xword solver's book, and I've made up a clue for it.

Clue: Anaesthetic you can count on.

Have you worked it out? You should, being wordsmiths!

Answer: #Number.

Made a #myth of it. It was the only way to get a handle on it. After all, who could grasp something so big?! It became more than what it was, what it should have been. And like so many myths, it was nothing like the truth, and everyone could live with that…save the ones who remembered. #vss365

Good morning. Today's word is #myth, like the exhortation to writers that we must keep subbing until agents begin fighting over who should have the privilege of representing us.
Or the Tooth Fairy. Your choice. Have fun!

Time may flow on in steady steps
Hours go through their daily reps
Yet fleeting meetings we treasure
Follow an unequal #measure
No common time to set hearts by
Sorrow in breves and joy a sigh

Good morning.
#November11th is the day we remember with gratitude the immeasurable numbers of people who died fighting fascism. We vowed it would never happen again - but here it is. I pray it doesn't prevail.
Today's word is #measure

Her goodbye still echoes through these rooms. Ellipsis tears between fragments of arguments, brackets of what we had hanging in by a thread until the doorslam full stop. I add marginalia of regret to each page of the #literature we started but I will never finish. #vss365

Greetings! I didn't want to wake up this morning, but here I am with today's word - #literature. According to Collins that is any writing of artistic merit, which isn't much help when deciding on the genre of my books. Are they literary or pulp fiction?
I may go back to bed now.

The limits of #language where words can no longer hold the shape of the wound, the thought, the emotion. There we can only feel the way by going through, feet falling in old footprints and hands and knees knowing the same stones. #vss365

The #language of the Line rose from sand fine as talc, from a pale blue base that shimmered but did not flow. 170 glassy kilometres of blinding desert sun. Hieroglyphs made more sense to everyone. Its letters carved from concrete, bent from steel, spelt out a madness we all could feel.

We sit across from each other, holding coffee cups. Small talk crumbs grow stale on the tabletop. A few sips of pleasantries remain, still warm from hot drinks drunk fast. Behind smiles tongues try to form the words we should have said, but we no longer understand each other’s #language.

Fine as dust dancing in moonlight
Thin as skin of a wounded soul
Whispers like wants just out of sight
Taking roost and taking their toll
A dawn chorus of flightless birds
And we learn how to envy flight
Singing of how the wide skies scold
