Well, baby girl is gonna be a tripod kitty. Prognosis for keeping the leg is very poor, but amputation is the next best thing. She’s booked for surgery in three weeks to let her gain some weight and be in the best condition possible for the procedure! Thanks again to all you kitty cat angels!!

Little sweet pea is at her surgery consult right now!! One million thanks to everyone who’s shared and donated—you all directly made it possible for me to help more kittens this season 🥲

saw a cute squirrel treefrog and a fresh baby gator today. spring is early and it’s pretty abnormal but it’s still nice to see spring

I know these whistling ducks are sick over this. expanded their range from Central America to New Orleans for some bullshit

Beau likes to sit on his good boy stool and keep me company every morning during dishes time so the meat man was extra lucky today

every time I make meatballs and leave an unwashed dish in the sink overnight the meat man appears to collect his tax

no idea about this one either, I type while delightedly squeezing a caviar lime into my mouth

my best friend sent me a box of exotic fruits for my birthday and 1. I am gloriously excited 2. I know what most of them are but have zero idea about this one in case anyone can weigh in

I love when I’m the only person out here and I run into rails but I’m pretty bad at rail ID off the cuff. hope it had a nice scuttle anyway

not as big a fan of running into these guys but at least they know I’m the big dog in this swamp today
January 9, 2025 at 9:59 PM
ruby-crowned kinglets are really delightful and inquisitive little birds. especially cute when it’s cold and they get puffed up extra round

home for christmas. using my mom’s ring light to do my morning skincare routine. face serum smells powerfully and inexplicably of stinkbug. I open multiple bottles to smell all my products individually. give up and conclude I’m on one. lean in close to ring light to apply mascara

lava herons are funny little dudes. disproportionately large aura for size of bird in question

green anoles are underappreciated. I feel like most people have a very common but extraordinarily beautiful local animal they take for granted

delivering the important news that my husband’s aunt recently rescued a mini horse and it just gave birth to a mini mule about the size of a cocker spaniel

my best friend and I met while working as field assistants on the same project in Panama during undergrad and she could not stand my ass for the first two weeks because I wouldn’t let her roll up the mist nets until I’d picked out all the dragonflies even if it was about to storm

I am, as I type this, being an orange-stealing you know what in my SIL’s backyard
